I am only 20yrs so I am not worried yet but how does menopause actually effect you???
my mother was the most kind, caring, loving, understanding woman until she went into the menopause. do not get me wrong i still love dearly but she became violent and was always agitated. now she is out of it she is much calmer but still not herself. i understand now what she was going through, it must have been hell
Every woman goes through the change, some find it harder to others.First there is the sweats, this can happen any time during the day or night, whether it is hot or cold. Some women have woken up to find the bed clothes really wet, others hardly nothing. How do u know this is going to happen, you get a hot feeling that builds up from the inside & rises from chest up the neck to the face. That is one main one the others r crying, you do not know why but all u want to do is cry. Your sex drive can either go or get worse, there r so many things, hopefully by ur time things may of changed like men understanding that this does happen, you see men, some times can not handle it.Poor loves!!!!!
Some people go through the menopause with hardly any symptoms at all, but usually there r at least some symptoms. The most common one is hot flushes, when u suddenly feel very hot & sweat, then u go cold again quite quickly. Your mood may swing considerably, & u may find yourself more irritable than usual. You may go off sex for a while, or in some cases permanently. You may start putting on weight. Your hair may become thinner. All this can happen anywhere between the ages of 50 to 60 roughly. There r more variations, but that is the average. It is nothing to worry about really. You may come out of it a much calmer, more relaxed person.
i believe you become moody and temperamental (not much change there then for most women lol). i think hrt treatment helps to get through it
hot flushes night sweats mood swings like u never had before, pmt thats worse than the deepest depths of he££ lol (ok i am stretching that bit but i am going through it atm at 39 years old)
Hair sprouting where hair has not sprouted before..crying...ummmmmm i am sure i have missed something oh yes slight memory loss (knew i would remember)
anyways ur 20 atm u have a long time to go yet & menopause does not or should not in my case kick in till 50 guess i got lucky huh lol
Hot flushes and dry fanny!! (so I am told)
Honey you're only 20, you should not be worried about this yet.
Anyway, Menopause is when your ovaries stops producing estrogen. The average age is between 45 and 50, depending on your lifestyle and family history. There are many symptoms, such as osteoporosis, back pains, there is the itching, bleeding and dryness in the genital area, and there are psychological effects such as mood swings, fatigue, memory loss and depression.
Hope this helps.
Stop worrying you have years to go yet.
The usual signs are hot flushes or night sweats which often disturb sleep and are VERY noticable. Mood swings which are awful and normally worse than the average PMT. SOme women get irregular periods while some get very very heavy bleeding leading up to the menopause. If in doubt you can buy a test from the chemist for around £15.00 which will confirm for you. The average age to get it is 40 to 50 yrs of age xx
Menopause just gets you a little moody and makes you grumpy like no one loves you.
It does not effect me as I am a man. When one of my ladies reaches this point.I get a new one.Hope I have been of some help
