I have been experiencing symptoms for about 7 years now (hot flashes, insomnia, exhaustion) and still getting my period, I refuse to take hormones because I think the side affects out way the benefits. My doctor suggested over the counter supplements for menopause, anything with soy in in it he said will help, it wo not take them away but it will help to ease the symptoms.
Yes, if your deficient in it. I would be careful though, for some people, even though they are deficient, it can cause anxiety and sever panic attacks. I hope it is working for you. Oh and when trying to use amino acids, make sure you take a amino acid complex complete in addition to the extra one you want to take. IE Lysine, take with a complex. Other wise you can alter your balance and be in a worse situation than you were in before.
Glutamine is good for so many things, it is one of the main aminos that your body needs and doesnt get enough of from normal food. amoung other things it helps build muscle and builds up you immune system and gives you energy : )
